The Smartest All Terrain Video Surveillance Vehicle
Video surveillance is getting smarter and smarter.
This year HD Relay released what they are calling their “Tactical Camera Hardware Van” (TCHV). It’s a one of a kind Sprinter equipped with several unique, high tech features that are raising the bar for security vehicles.
The TCHV hosts up to four cameras mounted with durable BASH camera enclosures. Made by Dotworkz, BASH is an amphibious, extreme off-road, and all-environment-ready camera protection. It is designed to work flawlessly with all mini-dome, HD, megapixel, micro PTZ, action, and specialty cameras.
As an added bonus, BASH camera housings are even aesthetically pleasing. More importantly, they are waterproof and weather proof, able to withstand any amount of dust, dirt, wind, snow, ice, heat and more.
Now that you understand the super-hero-dom of the BASH, let’s talk about some other equally awesome features that make the TCHV unique.
The van features a “Smoke Cloak” – a smoke based security product that can be triggered to produce tons of blinding smoke. It deploys within seconds, instantly blocking vision and effectively deterring potential intruders. And, get this, the Smoke Cloak has an added option that marks the intruders with a site specific DNA that can be used to link them to the crime scene.
Other high tech features include a cellular bandwidth kit that works through all major carriers (Sprint, Verizon…) and an on-board Xero NVR system that connects the four security cameras with VMS. This makes video footage super accessible at any given time.
As for power, all of the Sprinter’s camera systems are 100% self-powered. This means that once it’s on site, the vehicle’s 360 watt solar array will power all cameras, NVR’s and uplink communication hardware 24/7 for over a month without needing any outside power sources.
When combined, these features make for the most specialized, rugged, capable security vehicle any security team could hope for.
